I appreciate the advice, but as I'm referring to a particular kit which is going through Australian Design Rules testing atm (so it HAS to be good) and is made in America I was hoping someone might have fitted it. Personally I can't understand how it couldn't seal properly if it closes the same way the standard door hinges allow. It simply swings out enough the normal way (up to 25 degrees) then rotates upwards using gas struts for lift. How this would effect standard sealing is lost on me. Or are ppl that don't really have their heads around how it works giving their opinions despite asking to the contrary? As for chassis stiffness, it doesn't cut any of the structural metal, only the inside of the front guards. When driving you have them closed, so how does this decrease stiffness? I agree with Ted, I'd rather be different given the chance. It's my zed after all. Are you able to send me off some pics of your conversion Ted?
